I have been trailing at mannings for a long time and I don't believe the track varies very much.i like to see my pups run at least 19/60 after breakin but on saying that there have been pups not break 20 and win races.

I'm glad you have some good ones coming thru, John.
Know the dam line extremely well.
All the very best with them.

John what about the time difference when he opens the track for his first trial for the day and the last person rocks up 10 min before he is closed .

Peter is not known for whipping out the tractor in trial times and when you get a good rain and the next day you go there I would say you would find 6 lengths easy .

I would rate it 6 lengths difference at times through out the year .

Mannings times are hand timed and I know pete has been doing it for years but when you consider a second is 16 lengths then you have to give or take a bit .

The one thing about mannings track is it is generally safe to trial on and he pulls them up on the lure as good as any lure driver in Australia .

I know it is only my opinion but I have put race dogs around early and late and the times I except them to run would not vary by much more than a couple of lghts,i know it is hand timed but I believe he wouldn't be that much out,but as we all know they have to produce it on race night or it all means nothing,

Very interesting Andrew, thanks for your insight.
My 2 broke in 19.30. One came from 21.1 and the other from 19.9 so it will be interesting to see how they go if they get to the track.
Hardest thing about having good times is trying to keep a lid on expectations, its doing my head in.

Jamie I got afew there breaking in now. So was that bears gold that broke in 19.30?
Give me an idea of what they have gone on to do. Cheers
