They went up late. Clearly short of noms.

Be interesting to know where the numbers of dogs in the future are going to come from. As breeding numbers are well down in most states.

Trials overseen by qric this afternoon, Track looks good, I put two around 315 and 460 in 4 dogs fields, no issues.
Good to hear John, anything a wee bit positive is a good thing right now.

Obviously RQ think that grass is the safest racing surface for developments moving forward. It might be worthwhile reviewing suppliers outside of the one used for Bundaberg when sourcing turf for new tracks at the Q.

I am reliably informed that sand/loam was/is never an option due not wanting to spend big $$ on tracks that are on a lease agreement.

With the introduction of 300m racing at Bundaberg, its looking like Cannington W.A with so many races for speedy squibs.

Race 2 was a clear "no race" at Bundy today. Lure was "alot" more than 8m to the leading dog. No wonder why the dog "eased up".

That decision baffled everyone, was at least 30m in front of dogs in straight

I freeze framed the reply at the point where dog 'lost interest' & the lure was clearly over 8m from the dog. Around the home bend the lure would have been 15m at a minimum.

Stewards report stated that the stewards questioned the trainer of "Power Up Annie" about the greyhounds performance! "Seriously?".

Bundaberg being converted to sand. "Good" news, but the question is "why wasn't it done so when track was closed for upgrades not long ago?". I hear whispers it had something to do with the committee not wanting to? Anyway hats off to Rql for now doing so.

What a "complete balls up" Bundy has been. Track closed for upgrades, "not long ago". The grass was replaced, when it should have been ripped up & sand put down. Now lure issues. And to top it all off, track will have to be closed in the new year "again" to replace the grass with sand. "Hilarious".

It would be laughable if it wasnt industry money being wasted by poor decisions.
There is no use throwing money at the Bundaberg track unless they put someone in the drivers seat. Right now the bus is being driven from the back seat and its participants in the area that keep taking a hit financially.

My thinking is once Purga is up & running all other tracks will be starved of funding.
