Owner and Trainer in NSW transferred a dog the other day and notification given today to inform the previous owner / trainer that process was completed. Edog with GRV has the updated information, but when you check Blackbook Records on new GRNSW website, it still has old details.
Maybe it has to pass a Covid IT Check in Victoria before it's updated in NSW. Yeah, right!

Well, it looks like the OLD websites days are numbered.
For about 3 weeks now you can't "Sign-in". A statement keeps coming up which is obviously bull -
"TheDogs.com.au is currently undergoing maintenance, Member login and Blackbook functions will be unavailable for 24hours. We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause."
You can still access form & results.....but that's about it, so I'm sure it's only a matter of time before they pull the plug.
It's a shame as this site is so user-friendly compared to the new site.

Whilst I'm certain the "old" site days are indeed numbered, however as for "Signing-in", personally I haven't had any problems whatsoever, and have literally just signed-in, so perhaps there maybe a glitch your end?
I do receive the posted message about "undergoing maintenance" when trying to access The Blackbook, but this has been appearing for well over a month, possibly two months.
I do concur that the "old" site is still far more user friendly compared to the "new" site.

Should be an I.C.A.C probity check here. For the dollars it cost, not a lot going on. You don't get the transmission changed in your vehicle to see if it runs faster, and if you do, don't the mower man to change it!

Last night at Wenty - CHRISSIE BANNER won nicely.
Ozchase says its sire is Chrissie Banner and its dam is also Chrissie Banner. Is that inbred?

No there's certainly no glitch down my end.
Pass words up all checked & correct.
If I try to sign-in on the "Old Site" with the necessary requirements (Email & PW), Computer says - NO.....but if I do the exact same procedure to the "New Site", Computer says - YES. Go figure.
From what I can see, the old site is becoming a bit like GWIC, death by stealth.....& the new site simply sux when you compare the 2.
I couldn't be bothered in contacting the operators as you go from one site to another (when you try) & you have to start again.
Anyway, I've given up the punt & this has certainly nailed the coffin shut.

Thought I'd try again to log-in to the OLD DOGS SITE using the email address that I've been using for the last 3 years but once again no good, so I thought I'd press the "Forgotten your password" button to reset the whole thing but the site comes back with "Sorry, That email does not exist". But it's the same email that I sign in with to the NEW SITE.
Anyway, I thought (just for fun) that I'd press the "Forgotten your password" button again but this time I used an old email address I use to sign in with but cancelled, as it was an old OPTUS email address & I dumped Optus 3 years ago. Anyway, the OLD DOGS SITE excepted the cancelled email address and sent me a new code.....But like I said, that email address was cancelled 3 years ago & doesn't exist.
I give up.

You guys are doing better than I am.
I am hit with "The user account has been locked out" which implies someone took aggressive action. That means no race videos or career histories.
Happily, Victoria is no problem and I can get into Qld races via their own website.

After yet another week, my access to much of the website (using the old one) is still banned.
It keeps asking me to try gain but the same answer always pops up -
"An error occurred, please try again. If you continue to have issues, contact us. The user account has been locked out."
Attempting to re-register produces the same answers, always with the additional excuse that "we are having problems, try again in 24 hours". (This is obviously not true as I have been trying for on and off a couple of weeks).
I can still get the basic results presentation but not videos or career records.
The possibilities are ...
(a) they don't like me (b) they don't want anyone using the old website (c) their system is incapable of handling fresh inquiries (d) the new system has deliberately made access impossible to people still using WIN7 etc (which I do due to other reasons)
Incidentally, note that if you use FastTrack you will not be able to see videos for races outside Victoria. If you use OzChase you will not get any race videos for races in Victoria. Apparently, they do not like each other. And everyone still prints incorrect sectionals for Tasmanian races.
Not a great way to encourage business.

I'm still in the same boat too Bruce.
Just do what I did.
Open an account with TAB ---> EXTERNAL LINK It's free & you can access ALL greyhound replays (& download them if you wish) Australia wide.....and usually within 5-10 minutes of the completion of the race in question.
I keep checking in on THE OLD DOGS site every couple of days but keep getting the same message as you & I (& others)have stated before.
The new site is only half the site as the old one so to me it's useless.
Do you have questions about greyhound racing?
