But good broods produce to any sire blue heelers included "another myth"
There has been many examples over time where top broods have failed because the failed mating did not suit Sire and Dam bad choice by breeder.

Gee i wonder what Champion sires like Temlee, Waverly Supreme, Benjamin John and Token Prince would have done without all those champion broods that made them such great sires ???

What a load of Crap, champion sires upgrade Bitches that have often been elsewhere and failed.

Of course a pre potent sire can upgrade any bitch but you can count these types every gen on your one hand..good broodies throw too any sire and they are much less rare if you follow the lines like simon Burke did recently..right line right time watch her further matings confirm this.

Mark those dogs you mentioned were from another era and a far better one at that those 4 dogs you mentioned were all natural services there was no icicles back then there was no splitting the shot 1 serve 1 bitch 1 dog now as you know in this era there could be anything up to 5 even 6 splits so please don't go comparing the champs from yesterday to some of these chumps of today as you know from this thread houses were cheaper back then and so were the good hard chasing stud dogs

True John i am about to breed my first litter in 12 years and it was all new to me this Frozen Semen stuff.I bred a litter by Token Prince before my extended break from breeding he was worth every cent of his fee.

John I don't think it matters what stud dog you use. You need plenty of luck.

I think the figures speak for it self. With numbers down on breeding and peoples uncertainty about the greyhound future still Fernando Bales number are pretty good. Even with his high stud fee.

IM IN 100% and can't wait for our bitch to come on season so we can use him,

I've said this before use the best bitch you can get your hands on and use the best stud you believe will click with your bitch.

When you add up how much money it cost to whelp a litter, rear, pre train by the time they hit the race track ( if they hit the track ) you could be out of pocket tens of thousands.

That's why I don't understand why people are worried about paying an extra thousand or 2 for FB if he's match up well with bitch. Crazy crazy,

Pay peanuts most of the time you get monkeys.

Well hopefully he throws on.I have 19 little Fernandos running around from 2 litters, one bitch is a Mogambo daughter, the other is Aston Trivett daughter. Both bitches first litters, yes the stud fee is high, but i think he is the best around,so worth the chance in my opinion.
The pups are 8weeks and 10 weeks, very forward pups.
Happy with them.Hopefully think the same in 18mths time.

I knew Fernando was popular but after buying a few pups lately I was amazed by the quality of some of the bitches he's recieved.
I found that some really nice bitches had pups to good solid sires and that some of the exceptional bitches having nearly all Fernando pups.
He's going about it the right way.

Mark if this boy fails everyone will say I TOLD YOU SO.
If he makes it........ It will be because he had THE BEST BITCHES going around.

It's a hard life for FB lol

We all know a very large number of stud dogs fail. I've read somewhere 95% don't make it.

So if you were going to bet on him making it you will prob do your money cold.

I'm very happy to have brought a straw win lose or draw he was a super freak on the track and worth a crack as a new sire.

Forget about his price tag if you think he might click with your bitch your mad not to use him. You can sit on the fence and wait. But I'm sure if he fires his price tag won't wait for you.

Happy breeding everyone. It's a gamble like every new stud dog to come along.

A Champion usually gets the Best Bitches.

I see his oldest pups is around 13months old. I'm sure there will be a lot of eager people wondering how his pups are going.

The next 6 months will be interesting.......
