.03 quicker than black magic opals record which stood at 23.41.
Congratulations in breaking a track record, to do this you need to be a special dog, with that said if he can break 5 track records, 2 first section records, a world record or race against another dog that breaks a track record to beat you in a photo, then and only then will you be a step above others from past years gone by!
Brett lee (multiple track record and a world record) black magic opal (5 track records, 2 first sectional records and nearly a 6th record) El grand senor (4 track records including breaking his own) they were both compared to Brett lee!
While I am not going to get into a price example of what I think is value, while its great to be excited about an extremely talented dog, they will come again and then the next big thing will be the next Brett lee?
I will take notice when he breaks a track record over 500+ and then I think it's fair to compare him to Brett lee. Until then it will be interesting to see what the dog is capable of.
Good luck in the final! He is a money printing machine with no real competition at group level!

Groundhog day ....
15 posts from the same person who seems hell bent on trying to take glory from a truly magnificent greyhound .

No Kevin I have just given a reflection of many talented greyhounds and put the reality out there of how other greyhounds have been also claimed to be replacements for Brett lee and what achievements they have achieved for themselves to be compared to Brett lee!
In addition when people are saying best ever or better than you have to expect someone else to say hang on a second while he may be talented greyhound he may be as good as others that have raced but here's how he can't really be considered the best ever or better than and why!
I have stated that the dog is a supremely talented greyhound and a step above what is running around now. Fernando bale is!
He looks like having a mortgage on this group 2 race and reality is the only thing that will stop him winning more grok races or any races is injury, as no other greyhound in the land can match him based on their own ability and that's an amazing thing, a positive thing for greyhounds.
Can't agree on the silly tags people are putting on him though! Why is it that the same people try to howl down a person for having an alternative view to theirs though?
Keep it about fernando bale!
Yes Glenn that's good you pointing out he has a second section record at wenty maybe someone can put that on his pedigree profile. Hopefully fernando bale can continue showing his wares and I look forward to him breaking more track records, a 500 letter record would well and truly be a possibility wouldn't it? Exciting he is!

Ground hog day ..16 posts and going strong Sean .
I have a feeling you can express your opinion at least 4 more times to then make it the most opinionated poster ever on data for the one thread.
Previously braking your own record ....Now thats a Australian record possibly a World record ..LOL
You were the person going after the man and not the ball with your post about how PAW is greedy for selling his vials at $3300 and many people are lining up to use the son of a Full American Import sire ...
This is about one of Australia's best EVER race dogs and when you voice an opinion against a dog then you have to expect people to come out and defend him .
You have voiced YOUR OPION 16 TIMES so you tell us why you think you need to keep defending your statements on this thread ....
Maybe make a new thread just for yourself so you can sit there arguing the point with who ever wants to take you on but PLEASE THIS THREAD IS FOR HIS SUPPORTERS .....Not his detractors

How can you say he is a son of a full American sire wss'nt kelso's dam Full Irish and just on another note let me say this we do have a public forum even though we are well scrutinised and what one sees in a racing greyhound another may not so let's be fair is someone wants to say Fernando is the best ever well that's fine if another says he isn't in their eyes well hasn't he got that right to say or write that it is an individuals opinion nothing more.See to me he isn't the best I saw but I have to go back to Brother Fox and Tegimi another great racer Gliders Son another and Flying Amy what a great bitch she was no we can keep on comparing dogs from yesteryear to todays but it makes no difference Fernando Bale is going to get his knockers and so is any good dog ...this I will say though when the curtain comes down on his racing career then we will just have to wait for the next round because to me that's when it becomes interesting because that's when he has to score the runs because he is Fernando Bale will make no difference to Mother Nature there has been many a great dog gone to stud and failed. Speaking of American Sires isn't kelso's Sire Line a direct Line to Tell You Why now he wouldn't be Australian right ...maybe your using the term American for other reasons

Hard to compare dogs of different eras but some perspective for this fella is a comparison with El Grand Senor who was probably the most recent sprinter to dominate like this and a super race dog in his own right at common tracks distances they've competed on.
EGS Group 1 winner in Victoria Fern Bale multi state Group 1 winner EGS best time at The Meadows 29.83sec FB best time at The Meadows 29.55sec EGS best time at Sandown 29.43sec (different track timing) FB best time at Sandown 28.98sec (one of only how many to break 29 sec?) EGS best time at Ballarat 25.06sec FB best time at Ballarat 24.84sec EGS ran 23.87sec on the old 430m Bendigo track FB has just run the record of 23.38 on the new 425m Bendigo track
After 27 starts EGS had 21 wins, 3 seconds, no thirds and had won 2 Group 1's.
After 27 starts FB has 22 wins, 1 second, 1 third, 4 Group 1's and 1 Group 3.
EGS was an outstanding racedog and Brett Lee is king for me but no question Fernando Bale is putting together a top shelf career with a bit to go yet!

Only stating a fact. Most comments on here are based on opinion.
By the way, the thread is about Fernando Bale not Brett Lee.

I agree Glenn. So to the Melbourne cup he would have a mortgage on it at this stage unless cleanser comes good!

As PAW said to the media " It's hard to compare dogs from different era's but he hasn't broken any track records yet." that quote is from memory but that's basically what he said and then said something like if he goes onto break some track records then people will start comparing him with BL. I think PAW summed it up pretty well - personally I'm just enjoying watching a magnificent dog who is a credit to the breed, owner, trainer and industry.

At this stage, there's no point placing hypothetical's on a race, that's programmed in November. There's still a lot of water to flow under the bridge.

Steve definitely a lot of hypotheticals and seems like people seems to want to talk about hypotheticals like the ability of how God he may become and who he is better than and how good he will be at stud? So what's the difference between talking about what group races he may face I next?
Highly doubt he will be retired unless injured as there is nothing that can match it with him at present, except cleanser who is coming back from a setback I believe!
Actually Jmac, kelsos fusilier has the same sire line in his dame line as premier Fantasy (slaneyside hare) I looked him up yesterday when I did a test mating.
