Don't no Ant. Haven't had a good look......But more than 70 of his daughters have whelped litters so far with Barcia Bale being used more than double to any other sire at this early stage. Aston Dee Bee is the next favourite... with Collision, Zipping Garth & Orson Bale next on the list.

hi Jack. i think collision has done well. when put to broods with import blood , and done well to Fernando bale bitches as well,
the reason id use collision is , theres not many straws left , he can throw some good types, and are generally easy to breakin and chase well ,
there is a lot of new sires around and im sure in time plenty will prove suitable for Fernando bitches ,
for myself personally i only look at proven sires for any mating ,
been burnt too often with unproven sires,, happy to pay the premium once proven ,

Just on how well proven it is in reverse (Fernando to cosmic rumble broodies) cosmic rumble could be a sire to suit

Thanks mate.i wonder if their is there a brave breeder who would like to keep a bitch as a future Brodie 2x2 FB ..That would be going to sennachie.George Schofield and Mary had some interesting dogs in the 60s putting a son of shans view over a daughter of shans view.

But is the highly proven reinforcement of the Spiral Nikita/Minnies Surprise cross (as found in Milldean Panther) more to do with the success of Epic Hero than anything else?????

But, as you well know David, its the sum of all parts. While the cross you mentioned is an obvious big player...not just Milldean Panther, but the double even triple of Spiral Nikita and dam Minnies Nikita is well proven to produce top class. You only need look at Paul Wheeler using Roanokee over Dyna Patty to see what he thinks is a big driving force behind Fernando Bale. And its in Epic Hero as well.

Fernando Bale over Aussie Infrared's dam has produced Ebby Jet Power. So Aussie over a Fernando girl, would be the reverse, but with Bella Infrared genes over Gable Dodge genes thrown in.

Re Epic Hero:
If you look at Bartolo's top bitch Sweet About Me(x Two Up Larry) in Epic Hero's damline you'll see a massive 97% niche between Two Up Larry and Top Honcho(illustrated using Larry's sister Ange Jones) CLICK HERE .
So Epic Hero's grandsire Slip the Lark through his damline is reintroducing Two up Larry within 5 generations through different individuals in Top Honcho's pedigree, back into the same damline that Larry was so influential with 14 years ago. When this is done through different individuals at very high percentages(greater than 88%), it seems to create an enormous amount of vigour within the pedigree. It's not sole reason for Epic Hero's success but it's a great place to start.
The 97% niche is not only made up of Head Honcho, Waverly Supreme, 2x doses of Temlee and Tangairn seen highlighted in red, but also Zimbabwe and Come on Wonder, sire of Touch of Ireland, that are also cross duplicated if you look at the blood quota table below. So Two Up Larry carries different individuals that covers 15.5 of the 16 lines(97%) in Top Honcho's pedigree in the 5th generation.
The only line in Top Honcho's pedigree not cross duplicated in 5 generations through different individuals is ironically Touch of Ireland's dam(line).
Damlines (going up the sires) pedigree need to reintroduce sires through different individuals that have been previously successful with the broodies damline. These breeding parallels are what keep damlines 'alive' imo.
Sires whoever they are, are just vehicles that carry damlines the brood bitches damline needs, to in turn create vigour and intensity within the pedigree you are creating.
