That possible "rule" would not stand up in court I would confidently say James. 2 many "variables" in favour of the said breeder that's being oppressed by the GRA. P/money earnt means 0 2 me when settling on breeding from a certain bitch. I look at a lot more important aspects other than p/money earnt. How would you feel James if you intended on breeding from 1 of your ex race bitch's who was the fastest bitch you have had yet succumbed 2 severe injuries that limited her career & she only won very little in terms of p/money m8 & the authorities told you that you cannot breed from that bitch ? I know what I would do & I guarantee that bitch would whelp a litter ! & I bet anybody else would do the same. Can't let standover tactics prevail in my opinion m8 ! That possible ruling an absolute joke that be unable 2 enforce in my book & I no barrister. Let them try I say !

As I have indicated previously, I doubt that ANY of the "new" restrictions would stand up, if tested legally. It's just a matter of WHO is going to "test" them.
I suspect, much like the "no natural materials on the lure" rule. It's nonsensical, and defies the "common sense" test.

none of my bitches that I intend to breed with have earned the minimum levels being leaked out of G.A. Wonder who has been in there ears with all this city class broodbitch crap.My experience has been telling.Bred with a very well bred outcrossed bitch who threw a few fast dogs amongst average ones and bred with a group 3 winning bitch who threw a few fast ones along with some average ones.Gut instinct a big wallet and very good rearing practises should be the pre -requisite not a bitches stakemonies.

If the reason was to cut the wastage factor, then a legal challenge would more than likely succeed as it would never stand up in court due to precedents being set in the horse and harness industry, whom also have very high incidence of wastage.
The best way is it make it difficult and expensive to breed and then it will cut the deadwood away by natural attrition
As James said, if your pockets are deep enough, they will quickly be lightened if you got it wrong

There are hundreds or thousands of examples of broods who never raced or were slow on the track who have thrown champions. I can't see how there can ever be a restraint on what dogs you can breed.
